federal funding

The Kentucky Department of Local Government (DLG) seeks input to assist in drafting an action plan to spend approximately $297 million in federal funding to assist with the ongoing response to FEMA disasters 4663 (https://www.fema.gov/disaster/4663) for the Kentucky Severe Storms, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides that hit the state in 2022. The funds are provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) Program. The CDBG-DR Program works to rebuild areas affected by disasters like Hurricane Ida, Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Harvey to name a few.
Community feedback will help shape the plan's final version to address long-term recovery and restoration of housing, infrastructure, planning, and economic development in areas affected by the storms.
